Following work is a project of new building for social services in Bern, in Switzerland and strategy for

revitalization of its surroundings. The given area is approached in three scales: master plan, urban repair

plan and architectural design of a new social service building. Work addresses the problem of social

exclusion in the city on physical and mental levels. Basis of the design strategies are: creation of the

clear urban structure, introduction of functional diversity and preservation of valuable social structures

existing on the site. The written part of this work presented in this booklet is complemented by a

graphic part and two scale models.
