Advanced CAD Techniques – Elective

Advanced CAD Techniques – Elective

Course type: Lectures and Seminars

ASK course

Course Code: E1 ETCS: 2
Proj/lab/semin hours: 15 Lecture hours: 15

General description of the course

Lecture contents are concentrated on the presenting of the typology of computer aided design tools, their properties, function, and application. Primary stress in on ways of constructing three–dimensional geometry, modeling structures, and simulating use states. Also presented are the possibilities of integrating individual programs and accessible integrated CAD systems.

The seminars develop theoretical competencies acquired during the lectures in practice through a series of tasks where students develop skills in selecting the appropriate programs and techniques for various design tasks. Each exercise ends by comparing results and discussions on the adequacy and effectiveness of the assumed work methods.

The overriding goal of the lectures and exercises is the gaining of knowledge and practical skills in computer aided design as well as in ways of controlling individual programs (graphic interface, scripting languages).
