ASK Students Named Finalists in the International „Re-Gen Gorizia” Competition
We are thrilled to announce that students from our Master’s program in Architecture for Society of Knowledge (ASK) have been named finalists in the international architectural-urban competition, „Re-Gen Gorizia”, organized by TerraViva Competitions.
The project, titled „The Modular Ground” – co-authored by Aleksandra Mosiołek, Bartłomiej Warmiak, and Julian Gajdos under the mentorship of dr hab. inż. arch. Małgorzata Hanzl – was selected from among international submissions and is featured on the organizer’s official winners’ platform.
About the Competition
The „Re-Gen Gorizia” competition challenged designers to rethink the Sant’Anna district in Gorizia, Italy, as a modern, sustainable, and highly livable urban space. The ASK student team tackled complex urban issues by developing a concept that prioritizes:
- Active Mobility: Revitalizing pedestrian and bicycle networks to reconnect the neighborhood.
- Green Infrastructure: Integrating green spaces to boost biodiversity and urban resilience.
- Social Activation: Designing vibrant public spaces that encourage community integration and local identity.
Congratulations to Aleksandra, Bartłomiej, and Julian on this fantastic international achievement!
