BOND: a modern response to the evolving landscape of urban living.
Developed within Design Studio 1 (2025/26) led by dr inż. arch. Jakub Szczęsny, this project explores one of the most essential needs of city life: human connection. By analysing contemporary household structures and demographic trends in Poland, this group of students designed a space that prioritises inclusivity, interaction, and belonging.
The architecture is based on a modular grid, transformed into a distinctive valley-shaped public square that opens the development to the community and creates a seamless transition between private and public realms. A diverse range of apartment typologies (M1–M4), including fully accessible units, ensures housing for everyone, from single professionals to large families.
Every element, from the Wolności wings to the Staszica internal flow schemes, is designed to encourage interaction. Because a home should be more than a place to stay, it should be a place to belong.
We were honoured to present the project in the presence of special guests: Mr. Maciej Araszkiewicz, Chief of the Architecture and Planning Department of the Municipality of Słupsk, Dean of our Faculty dr hab. inż. arch. Krzysztof Koszewski, and ASK director, dr inż. arch. Krystian Kwieciński.
