This semester’s Design Studio I course led by dr. inż. arch. Jakub Szczęsny, was conducted in collaboration with the Faculty of Architecture at Wrocław University of Technology. We had the pleasure of hosting dr. inż. arch. Jerzy Łątka and his third-year students at our faculty in Warsaw for the final presentations.
Over the past weeks, 7 international teams developed masterplans for a social housing project on Grajewska Street in Wrocław, designed to accommodate up to 500 people from the academic staff of Wrocław’s Institute of Technology. The projects explored diverse approaches, including housing cooperatives and incremental housing strategies, addressing not only architecture but also financing and community organization.
We extend our gratitude to our guest critics Nataly Khadziakova Jakub Snopek and Bogna Świątkowska for their valuable insights and support throughout the process.
The projects will soon be exhibited, offering an opportunity to experience the incredible work completed this semester.
