dr inż. arch. Łukasz Piątek
Łukasz Piątek is an architect, marine designer, and researcher interested in the interpenetration of civil and naval architecture, particularly regarding floating buildings and cities. He holds a Ph.D. from the Faculty of Architecture, Warsaw University of Technology, Poland, where he works as an assistant professor, and a postgraduate degree in Naval Architecture from the West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin. He participates in developing Polish building regulations for floating buildings and houseboats. He was the co-chair of the International Conference on Amphibious Architecture, Design and Engineering 2019 and 2023 and the World Conference on Floating Solutions 2020. He is a member of the Society of Floating Solutions (Singapore) and an author, co-author, and editor of numerous publications on floating architecture. He is also a founder of Kilson Design, a studio focused on aquatecture.
