dr inż. arch. Marcin Strzała
A designer and architect exploring the trans-disciplinary nature of postdigital architecture. His work focuses on the relationship between data and its physical manifestation, particularly within the field of additive manufacturing. In his view, design emerges from the reflective, implicative, and aggregative exchange of information between three elements: design methods, material, and tools — the last of which tends to receive the least attention in both education and practice. In his teaching, he seeks to give students the opportunity to experience the full digital continuum between architectural idea and physical realization.
He has held teaching positions at Monash Art, Design and Architecture in Melbourne and the School of Form at SWPS University in Warsaw, and served as a visiting lecturer at Xi’an University of Architecture and Technology in China. He is currently an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Architecture of the Warsaw University of Technology, from which he holds his PhD and where he has been involved in the Architecture for Society of Knowledge program since the beginning of his career.
