It is predicted that in the future need for food will increase. Nearly 75 per cent of the population will live in city.
As the situation is going to change I would like to suggest using the city landscape as a land for plant cultivation. Project concerns providing space for planting vegetables and other plants, using water and all needed goods from site or building infrastructure.
The project may be the new space for society to learn gardening. It may also provide habitants their own space for planting vegetables. This will give citizens not only awareness but also control over way of producing food and surely it will decrease costs of transportation and logistics. Implementation of the project may have positive influence on environment by reducing heat islands and by improving quality of air in the city.
The goal of project is to analyze possible spaces available for planting in the city and make the catalog of the results. This catalog gives parameters to create parametric definition related to shape of plot or roof corresponding to all surroundings and sun orientation. Final design is a system of structures providing space for plant cultivation. Formed by site surroundings, placed on roofs and with free space around housing.
