ASK PhD admissions system will open on September 17th 2018.

The applications for studies starting in fall semester 2018 must be submitted until November 16th 2018.

Who is eligible?

You are eligible to apply for admission to the ASK PhD program if:

  • you hold a M.Arch degree or equivalent
  • you received an acceptance from the Selection Committee and confirmation by the head of the ASK PhD
  • you prove adequate financial resources to cover tuition fees and living costs (for candidates who require a visa to stay in Poland during the period of study)

The ASK Program will be delivered in English and good working knowledge of the language is required. see details


Research areas

We are currently seeking candidates interested in undertaking research in the following fields:

  • Architecture and Urban Design for the Society of Knowledge
  • System, interdisciplinary approach to Architecture and Urban Design in the age of digital technology;
  • New tools for the preservation of cultural heritage.
Admission process

All candidates to the ASK PhD program should deliver their complete application documents before October 31st 2018.

Candidates from Poland are additionally required to register in the central registration system here.
Please note that you may be asked to fill in information about your completed Master studies.

Schedule

Septeber 17 – November 16 – online application and documents upload deadline. The Admissions Committee will evaluate candidates’ applications including portfolios and select the most interesting for an interview.

The list will be announced by November 29th, and selected candidates will be notified about the form and date of the interview.

The informatio about interviews will be released on furter notice. Interviews may be conducted in person or via Skype or iChat. The final ranked list, including the results of interviews with candidates, will be announced by December 4th 2018. All scanned documents attached to the application have to be also re-submitted in original after the preliminary acceptance to the program, not later than December 20th 2019. Non-EU candidates should deliver their documents to International Students Office. EU candidates must deliver their documents to room nr. 7 at the Faculty of Architecture of Warsaw University of Technology. In case of delay of the documents’ delivery, the place on ranking list and acceptance for the program is conditional. If the conditions (like delivering confirmed copy of the M. Arch diploma) are not fulfilled, next person from the ranking list is offered a place in the program.

The first semester starts on February 18th 2019.
